ADD2WIND flight test campaign

A next milestone reached on the road to deliver tools and spare parts to offshore wind turbines: the drop test on a demonstrator platform. The flight was performed with an Aeroscout Scout B1-100 UAV Helicopter, operated under the new SORA based flight permission for EU countries. Thank to all ADD2WIND project members for the good work!
SORA permission for Scout B-330 UAV Helicopter

Aeroscout is proud of receiving a flight permission for the Scout B-330 UAV Helicopter in compliance with SORA (Specific Operations Risk Assessment). The EASA published the SORA as a standard for drone operations with aircrafts over 25kg takeoff mass. It is valid in the EU and will be adopted by FOCA (Federal office of civil aviation, Switzerland) on 1 January 2023.

The Aeroscout team made use of some warm days in spring to go for a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) mission with the B-330 UAV and together with Gamma Remote Sensing AG. The SAR needs very accurate position and attitude information which was provided by a Honeywell HGuide n580.
