We have various products available for demonstration in Lucerne, Switzerland. This includes complete autonomous helicopters (UAVs) as well as manual test helicopters. Group demonstrations are also available on request. Also the performance of payload solutions concerning airborne laser scanning or hyper spectral scanning can be demonstrated and the quality of the generated data can be shown.

For international product demonstrations please contact Aeroscout.

Aeroscout has a profound understanding of payload isolation and vibration decoupling. Based on physical modeling, spectra analysis, and testing equipment, customer payloads are successfully integrated on our Scout B1-100 UAV helicopter. In addition, the task of payload integration includes on customer request also electrical and software interfaces. Onboard data storage is possible as well as broadband data transmission to the ground control station and data visualization during the flight.

Aeroscout provides in-depth knowledge in the field of integrated navigation systems, including INS/GPS navigation, analysis of raw sensor data, navigation error modeling, error propagation, extended Kalman filtering, and implementation of data fusion algorithms. Aeroscout performs recording and analysis of various real flight data from multiple platforms such as inertial measurement units (IMU), (D)GPS, magnetometer modules, and other onboard and ground-based sensors.

Our primarily goal is to develop, test, validate, and optimize customized navigation algorithms for specific applications. Based on our testing environments and our laboratory (sensor) tools, Aeroscout can provide deep insights into data consistency and general sensor/product quality. Our knowledge has been applied to unmanned ground and airborne systems as well as to manned vehicles and aircraft. Some standard key-words for our knowledge can be listed in the following way:

  • INS/GPS integrated navigation
  • Inertial navigation
  • Augmented navigation algorithms
  • Coning and sculling compensation algorithms
  • Analogue versus digital integration algorithms
  • Quaternions, Euler angles, and direction cosine matrix
  • Transformation matrices from body-fixed to earth-fixed coordinate frame
  • NED, ECEF, NWU, FSD coordinate systems

In general, Aeroscout provides complete reports including test results, algorithm developments, and algorithm implementations. This normally includes further Matlab simulation and C-Code.

Aeroscout does also provide professional UAV training & education in cooperation with our partners and distributors. The training and education includes:

  •     Principles of UAVs and UAV operation
  •     Successful UAV mission planning for various applications
  •     UAV safety instructions and team procedures
  •     UAV emergency handling

Courses include classroom lectures and practical on-the field training with different UAV systems. Extensive course material is provided and several exams have to be passed. The course location is in a dedicated flight area with access to a large flight field. Typical training periods are 2-4 days, depending on the level of team and mission complexity, technical and mechanical UAV details, and practical training level.

Participants of our Scout B1-100 UAV training program who have successfully passed the Aeroscout UAV exam will receive our signed UAV training certificate. This certification will be issued in English as a reference for local authorities where our customers intend to operate the Scout B1-100 UAV helicopter.

The customer will also get all technical documents which are confirmed by the Federal Office of Civil Aviation FOCA (Bundesamt für Zivilluftfahrt BAZL) for every single aircraft. This includes a certificate of airworthiness, an inspection report, conformance declaration, operating authorization and several maintenance records. Aeroscout knows form experience that this makes it much easier to get a permission to fly in countries with strict laws and regulations.
