Aeroscout Aerial Services and UAV Training
Aeroscout provides aerial services based on our industrial unmanned UAV systems. In cooperation with clients Aeroscout first defines the optimal technical solution for a specific application.
Typical applications include
- Aerial Photography & Photogrammetry
- Aerial Inspection, Documentation, and Mapping
- Search & Rescue, Eye-in-the-Sky
- Aerial Surveillance and Site Monitoring
- Scientific Measurement
- Agriculture Applications
- Real-time Video Transmission (Reality-TV)
In general, there are three levels of flight management:
- Manual flight with manual image triggering or video recording (more...)
- Autonomous flight based on the onboard flight control system (UAV) without ground control station (GCS) (more...)
- Autonomous flight based on the onboard flight control
system (UAV) with
ground control station (GCS)
Description The UAV system is operated with the ground control station (GCS), including the bidirectional data link communication. Prior to take-off, the flight mission is defined (GPS waypoints) within the area of interest. The operator monitors and controls the aircraft and the payload from the ground control station. Advantages The flight of the helicopter is completely autonomous, including take-off and landing. No manual pilot is required for operation. Exact GPS coordinates can be approached and instant visual feedback is provided at the GCS. Applications Flights in autonomous GCS mode are feasible for more complex flight missions where exact flight trajectories are required. Typical applications include 3D aerial modeling, laser scanning, or photogrammetry of larger areas. Further usage include IR imaging for search and rescue or agriculture applications.

Aeroscout UAV Training
Aeroscout does also provide professional UAV training and education in cooperation with our Asian partner. The training and education includes:
- Principles of UAVs and UAV operation
- Successful UAV mission planning for various applications
- UAV safety instructions and team procedures
- UAV emergency handling
Courses include classroom lectures and practical on-the field training with different UAV systems. Extensive course material is provided and several exams have to be passed. The course location is in a dedicated flight area with access to a large flight field. Typical training periods are 4-7 days, depending on the level of team and mission complexity, technical and mechanical UAV details, and practical training level.
